Man arrested on suspicion of showing off morning red-wood

A 38-year-old Geyserville man was arrested Monday when he was identified as a man who exposed himself to at least three women the day before.

The Arcata Police Department said officers reported to the 600 block of F Street where three women claimed a man had exposed his genitals at them.

The victims were able to provide a very detailed description of the culprit.

Very detailed.

So detailed that the next morning police found Alexander Newton walking on the 2200 block of Alliance Road around 7 a.m.

Newton was positively identified as the suspect and arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure and booked into the Humboldt County jail.

The APD said it has received a number of complaints involving a male exposing himself around town lately and is looking into Newton's connection to other incidents.
